RIFS is working with partnering international film programs in Europe to develop a LIMITED TV SERIES addressing the theme of misogyny.“TALES OF MISOGYNY"
“TALES OF MISOGYNY” is the title of a limited TV series in 8 episodes, we intend to produce commercially, employing top graduates from 8 distinct international (primarily European) film schools and programs – RIFS is the lead school in this venture, and we are working together with faculty and former students from he Art Academy of Novi Sad (AUNS) in Serbia; ESEC in Paris, France; Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon, Portugal; Maale Film School in Jerusalem, Israel; IADT in Dublin, Ireland; the Academy of Culture in Riga, Lativa; and the Stockholms Filmskola, in Stockholm, Sweden.
Together we are seeking funding privately and publicly. Each 55 minute episode will form the series, in which examples of misogyny in these respective nations is explored in a dramatic manner, shot in the language of each country. We aim to see this series distributed internationally, if possible screen in festivals worldwide, and be an exciting, valuable opportunity for talented students to be part of.
This is a project that is affiliated with the schools in that we will draw from the pool of talented graduates from each school for the writing, production and post of each episode, however it will be produced by local companies affiliated with the schools, the productions supervised by experienced film and TV producers.
The episode of the film produced in Rome, under RIFS supervision, as will be the case with all episodes, will reflect a current reality women face in today’s world. We will regularly update the status of this project as the development proceeds.
